TTA Safety Training and BWC update seminar
Workers’ compensation costs are affecting the profitability of large corporations as well as even the smallest employer. In order to keep our association members up to speed with recent BWC changes and the proposed changes for the 2010 group rating year we are pleased to announce the following seminars to keep you informed. The BWC is looking to further reduce available discounts to group members along with several changes that may impact how future claims are managed.
In addition, these seminars will include 2 hours of safety training for TTA group rated members that have had a claim in 2007 or 2008. Any July 1, 2009 group rating member who has had even 1 claim from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2008 must attend a minimum of two hours of mandated safety training or may possibly be disqualified for group rating starting July 1, 2010. Employers have until June 30, 2010 to meet this new requirement. Additionally, if an employer has multiple policy numbers they must attend two hours of safety training per policy number.
